Liberal’s mandate to go zero-emission by 2035 seems to be in trouble since the EV sale is way down than expected. Traditional car sale is also in decline thanks to the tariff war the world is facing. Minister Dabrusin was approached by the automakers and asked him to change his mission, 20% by the next year and 60% by 2030 but he seems to be adamant to deliver the promise. The fact of the matter is that people are not buying EVs since they are too expensive and government is in no mood to subsidize.
