Sadly, former Mayor of Mississauga and Ontario Liberal Party Leader Bonnie Crombie lost to a brand new candidate, Silvia Gualtieri. Similarly, Amy Martin, Mayor of Norfolk County who were on the race to become a MPP has also lost to an independent. After losing the battle rumors were that Crombie might resign as a leader but she said she will stay because she has added 5 seats to the Liberals.
